The weather got too hot for us wimpy tasmanians in southern France
and, as we also had to start our trek towards Paris, we gypsied
ourselves to southern Burgundy. This is north of Lyon but not as far
as Dijon. We are staying at the municipal campsite just outside of
Cluny. Within walking distance there is a lovely, cheap restaurant
where we ate frogs legs last night (panfried with garlic and parsley).
Just behind the campsite is the voie verte, a cycleway built on the
old rail grading that goes for kms.
Today we rode to cormatin to see the gardens at this chateau. As it
was flat, and I was able to mostly true her front wheel, Alice came
for her first ride in weeks. It was nice for her.
Does anyone know what movie this chateau was in? It's really a
familiar sight but we can't remember where we saw it.
